Paper Format

HEADING MUST BE CENTERED, USE BOLDFACE AND ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. USE TIME NEW ROMAN FONT EXCLUSIVELY IN 12 POINT FONT.

Name of  Author(s) (Name and Surname) in 11 point format, affiliation or address, fax, e-mail of the author responsible for the contribution, centred.
Key words: three words written in italics in 10 point font, centred.

Introduction. The abstracts must be written in English. The word introduction should be written in boldface. The text should be written in plain text, times new roman 10 point font, two columns and justified. The printable area on your sheet of paper must be strictly fixed: top 3cm and 1.5 cm in the other 3 sides of the page. Do not indent. In order to optimize your space you should describe your research concisely.  Thus, it should be carefully and accurately written.  Try not to have many paragraphs and check your grammar so that you use complete, short sentences. Do not leave spaces between paragraphs. The introduction should include a brief survey of previous work, and the scope and purpose of the research. Citation of references in the text are listed in order of appearance, they should be numbered in parenthesis in order to save space. Write your manuscript in MS Word for Windows (PC format only).

Methodology. The word “methodology” should be written in boldface, whereas the rest of the text is plain text. Do not describe your techniques step by step; it is better if you describe the strategies to cope with the problem (lay-out of experiments). If you need to include Latin words (scientific names) or phrases use italics. For chemical compounds use condensed formulas.

Results y Discussion. The words “results and discussions” should be written in boldface, whereas the rest of the text shoud be written in plain text. Use 10 point times new roman font in either case. In this section you may include tables or figures. Only one file per paper will be included in the proceedings; hence, you should include the figures and tables in the same file of your abstract; do not separate figures and tables from the body of the manuscript or they will not appear in the proceedings. You should be committed in fulfilling all the mentioned aspects. Abstracts written in more than two pages will not be accepted. Contributions that do not include all the information mentioned in this paper format will be rejected.

You may include a figure or table in a space like this. The size of the table should not exceed the page width and length.  Be sure to write down the units and symbols properly; use font in point 9.

Fig.1. Titles and captions of figures must be written underneath the figure and centred.  Use times new roman font in italics and in 9 point type.

Table I. Titles of tables must be written above the tables.  Place headings to the centre of each column. The size of the table should not exceed the standard page width and length.

Conclusions. The word “conclusions” should be written in boldface, whereas the rest of the text is written plain text, times new roman in 10 point font. Conclude with a summary of the results and an assessment of future research. You ought to be as precise and concise as possible.  Use the minimum number of references possible; try not to fill your space with references. Four references is the suggested maximum number. If you include tables be sure to use solid lines, in black and white because the use of other artefacts may affect resolution in particular when trying to get a printable copy.  Abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Symposium and if accepted, they will be published in the proceedings. Be sure that the quality of your work is adequate, otherwise it could be rejected.  The summary will be reproduced as received without any modification.  Thus, the content of the paper is strictly the responsibility of the authors.

Acknowledgements. You may write the acknowledgements here, including the funding source, if required.

References. The word “references” should be written in boldface in 10 point. Every reference (article, book, etc.) cited in the text, must have an assigned number in the order of appearance. The reference should appear in this section at the end of the paper, following the reference guide below. Include surname and name initials of all the cited authors. Note that examples for research papers, book chapters and proceedings are given, respectively. References should be written in 9-point type font.
